STRENGTH & POWER TESTING - Become Stronger!
Our strength & power testing protocol include a variety of key tests that are indicative of performance for all elements of a running. We use gyroscope and accelerometer technology to gain key data variables that inform programming and monitoring. We also assess key injury risk areas based on your injury history to minimise the risk of injury.

MOVEMENT PROFICIENCY & MOBILITY TESTING - Move Better & Smoother!

Our movement proficiency & mobility protocol assesses the key movement patterns involved in running performance. Your mobility is tested to gain valuable data metrics on any restrictions that may be limiting your performance. This facilitates specific programming that addresses these areas to ensure you move better, without restrictions.

RUNNING GAIT ANALYSIS TESTING - Enhance Running Efficiency & Stop those Niggles!

Our running gait analysis testing protocol uses gyroscope technology and video analysis software to identify the areas of your running performance that may limit your efficiency, increase shock loads and ultimately reduce performance. Our data-driven approach allows for key interventions that address running gait deviations identified to help your become a more efficient runner.

VO2 MAX TESTING - Maximise your Cardiovascular Aerobic Fitness!
Our VO2 max testing protocol uses the gold standard VO2 Master device to gain key ventilation data to understand your VO2 max, an important metric for understanding your cardiovascular fitness. Testing also provides key information in relation to your training zones, facilitating specific training strategies to train the key areas of your fitness important for running performance.

LACTATE THRESHOLD / PACE SETTING TESTING - Train Better & Smarter!
Our lactate threshold testing protocol is designed to gain key data on how you accumulate lactate during various exercise intensities along with your ability to remove lactate. Data obtained allows for specific training at key intensity zones to improve performance at key threshold intensities, improving your lactate threshold and allowing you to perform better for longer. It also allows for insights into your pace setting zones to predict and improve race time performance.

We gain data during our protocols on a variety of metrics important for triathlon performance:

  • Motor Control: Described as the initiation, grading, and regulation of movement involving the musculoskeletal and nervous system.
  • Strength Capacity: Also described as strength endurance, capacity measurements and programming assist in improving fatigue resistance of muscles.
  • VO2 Max: Is a measure of the body's capacity to maximally uptake oxygen from the environment and use it in skeletal muscle during intense full-body exercise (maximal oxygen consumption). It is considered the gold-standard measurement for cardiorespiratory fitness
  • Lactate Threshold: Described as the point at which lactate is produced and accumulates in the blood at a faster rate than it can be removed, leading to anaerobic fatigue.
  • Running Gait Deviations: A variety of deviations may be present during the running gait cycle that contribute to reduced efficiency, performance and increased injury risk. These are assessed through our IMU and video analysis technology.
  • Ventilatory Thresholds: Describes the relationship between physical exertion and ventilation. During VO2 Max testing, two key ventilatory thresholds (VT1 & VT2) are identified, which allows for specific training recommendations that improve these values moving forward.

MOVEment & mobility testing

Our 60 minute testing includes a discussion about current training, performance goals & injury history, functional movement screening, mobility testing, dynamic stability and balance testing specific for running performance. Full report included along with key recommendations.

RUNNING GAIT ANALYSIS TESTING

Our 60 minute testing includes complete running gait analysis testing using our inertia measurement units and video analysis software to identify key areas of inefficiency and increased shock loading, impacting running gait. Full report included.  

VO2 MAX
TESTING

Our 60 minute testing includes mask fitting, dynamic warm up protocol, and complete testing using the VO2 Master Pro. Each protocol of testing is specifically designed based of your current fitness levels. Full report included.

LACTATE THRESHOLD / PACE SETTING TESTING

Utilising the Lactate Pro 2 Meter and Polar Heart Rate monitor, a specific protocol is designed based off your current fitness to gain valuable data on your lactate accumulation, helping to inform specific training zones and race day pacing strategies. Full report included.
